Role within Preneurz

I’m Arjan Goudsblom, one of the partners at Preneurz, primarily focused on entrepreneurship activities initiated by universities, such as establishing incubators, organizing the Academic Startup Competition, and training educators in entrepreneurship education.

I work on these initiatives both in the Netherlands and abroad, including the Middle East (Bahrain) and various European countries such as Albania, Croatia, Italy, and Belarus.

Best experience so far

My work is incredibly diverse, especially due to its international nature. Additionally, I collaborate with Techleap on national programs related to valorization and am involved in the national technology strategy and some Growth Fund programs. However, my most enjoyable experiences are abroad. I’ve noticed that the entrepreneurial spirit is present everywhere, particularly among young people eager to start their own businesses after university. Their optimism and ambition to make a difference in their local communities or the world energize me greatly.

Advice for young entrepreneurs

Don’t be too modest—go all in for your ideas and passion! Many entrepreneurs think in small steps, but investors and customers get excited when you showcase a big ambition, as long as it’s well-founded!
