EMPOWERING ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITIES IN ALBANIA | TIRANA.INC
In 2019 Preneurz was invited by EU For Innovation to support universities in Albania on their journey to become more entrepreneurial universities and to enable them to eventually set up a full-fledged university-affiliated incubator: Tirana.Inc. The results of this program will encourage the emergence and growth of start-up companies and strengthen the start-up ecosystem in Albania.
The mission was clear: enable universities to establish university-affiliated incubators. Thus, Tirana.Inc was conceived, with the vision to fuel the emergence and growth of start-ups, fortifying the nation's start-up ecosystem.
Unlocking universities’ innovative potential in Albania
At the core of this initiative was the recognition that universities play a pivotal role in entrepreneurial ecosystems. Contrary to popular belief, these academic institutions are not isolated entities but catalysts for innovation and economic growth. Universities, armed with analytical skills and social networks, could significantly contribute to entrepreneurial success. Preneurz aimed to tap into this potential, fostering the development of entrepreneurial skills within universities.
