Build and run circular workspaces

At Preneurz we believe that fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge between SME entrepreneurs and students from various educational backgrounds can advance the Netherlands towards a more circular economy. This is why we strive to connect numerous students with SME entrepreneurs in North Holland to collaboratively tackle practical circular challenges.

What to expect

The Circular Workspaces consist of projects executed by students under the guidance of educational experts, with support from the MDW team. These projects help SMEs tackle circularity challenges across various themes, including design and production, logistics, business models, and user interaction with circular consumer goods. 

What we provide

The program

With a focus on the specific needs of SMEs, this program offers several tailored solutions, ranging from expert-led masterclasses to long-term collaborations with student groups and other SMEs addressing circularity challenges.

After participating in this program, you will have:

  • Created a collaborative workspace within your university.

  • Had the opportunity to conduct research and support circular purchasing efforts for real SMEs.

  • Provided students with valuable mentorship from industry experts.

  • Assisted SMEs in their transition from linear to circular practices.

  • Fostered collaboration between students and entrepreneurs on circularity.

Practical details

For whom

This program is specifically aimed at University directors, university administrative staff, teachers, and TTO/Incubator staff.

Advice

Once your Circular Workspace is operational, it becomes imperative to sustainably foster connections among stakeholders for the program's longevity. To establish a self-sustaining dynamic, a sequence of cycles and semesters under vigilant management is essential. Post-creation management is strongly advised and can be arranged.

Funding

We advocate allocating funding to support the program's management by Preneurz for a period of 1 to 3 years.

Language

The program is available in Dutch or English.

Duration

Set-up takes 6 months on average with personalized management from 1 to 3 years.
